Château Haut Cazevert

Our terroir and our wines

The property is located in Blasimon, in the heart of the Entre Deux Mers. The entire 28-hectare property has been converted to organic farming and has been awarded the HVE4 (High Environmental Value) label4.

Our grape varieties are Merlot, Cabernet and Malbec for AOC Bordeaux red wine. Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Sémillon form the blend for our AOC Entre Deux Mers white wine.

We also vinify a small parcel of Syrah, in red Vin de France.

Tasting

Superb dark burgundy color with intense reflections. The attack is frank, the fruit bright and powerful, supported by supple tannins.

Agreements

Goes well with red meats, sauces and cheeses.

Blend, depending on the year, of: Merlot, Malbec or Cabernet-Sauvignon

Tasting

Ruby color with violet highlights. Intense nose of blackcurrant and cherry. Round and unctuous on the palate, supported by supple tannins. Good finish.

Agreements

An excellent accompaniment to 7-hour lamb or sweet-spiced filet mignon.

Chateau Haut Cazevert

Château Haut Cazevert is located in Blasimon, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region, between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers.

Situated on one of the highest points of the Gironde, the vineyard benefits from a soil rich in clay and limestone, giving the wines fresh aromas and a balanced palate.

The estate covers some thirty hectares and benefits from 2 appellations:

Chateau haut cazevert

Blended according to year: Sauvignon gris, Sémillon, Sauvignon blanc

Tasting

Pale, sparkling color with green highlights. Pure, frank and flattering nose of ripe Sauvignon with a hint of exoticism and floral notes. Beautifully balanced, saline and juicy on the palate, releasing grapefruit and lychee flavors with formidable balance.

Serve between 12° and 14°.

Tasting

It goes well with seafood, grilled fish and a good goat’s cheese.

Pale pink color, fruity nose with red fruit aromas. Lovely freshness on the palate.
